Outsourcing Your Content Writing

By: Linda Van Fleet

A lot of webmasters use articles to provide content for their readers to enjoy, or to promote a product. If your website is a small one you may be able to handle the article writing on your own. However in some cases you will definitely need to consider the services of a ghostwriter to help you.
A ghostwriter is, just as the name implies, the invisible writer behind the article. Their names do not appear on the completed article. Rather, the person who purchases the article or hires the ghostwriter obtains the authorship rights to the article.
There are several reasons one may decide to use the services of a ghostwriter. I have listed 4 of these reasons below:
1. You are overwhelmed with work because your site is growing so fast. That's a good problem to have but it can be frustrating if you try to do all the work yourself. To have a fast growing website is a good thing; to be unable to keep up with the demand for fresh content is a bad thing. Your website visitors expect fresh, relevant content when they visit your site. They don't want "leftovers" and if you continually serve old materials to them they will find another site to frequent. Why should they return?
Serving up fresh content is a must if you really want your visitors to return. If your website is growing fast and you don't have enough hours in the day to write you should outsource this task to a ghostwriter. The fresher the content is, the more traffic you will have. That's the reason blogging is so popular: the content is always changing. If you want visitors you really must provide constantly updated unique content. A fast-growing website means you will also need to update fast and that usually means you need help. Outsourcing to a qualified ghostwriter can help you keep that traffic coming.
2. You sell a good product but can't write a good article. It is not a secret: some people cannot write. Yet, content is necessary for selling any kind of product on the Internet. The words and pictures become the salesman. You need descriptions of your products; you need pre-sell pages; you need thank-you pages. In some cases you need passive, indirect sales pages where an article provides excellent information that subtly guides the visitor to the shopping cart. Unfortunately if you can't write, and you don't outsource, your site is doomed to become a dull, boring blight on the Internet landscape that soon dies an unprofitable death.
That's where ghostwriters come once again to the rescue. Ghostwriters love to write and are usually good at it. A qualified ghostwriter can provide you with custom articles, product descriptions, pre-sell pages, thank you pages and press releases, relieving you from the task of writing so you can focus on building your bottom line by selling and providing customer service.
3. Lack of time to write. Everybody has a full schedule these days and you simply may not have the time to write articles. Maybe you have a dozen or more sites to keep updated. While you may have the time to keep one site updated you simply can't keep up with all of them. Maybe you work a full-time job and your web business is a part time project.
Whatever the reason many website owners simply don't have time to dedicate to writing content. The good news is that even if you are working 40 hours a week on a full time job, or 24 hours a day as a wife and mother you can still earn money on the Internet. Yes, you still need good, quality content. Thankfully it's not hard to locate a qualified content ghostwriter these days! By using the services of a ghostwriter "you can have your cake and eat it too", meaning you can keep your current job or role as wife and mother and build up a nice Internet business on the side. What a deal.
4. You hate to write. You really shouldn't even try to write if you hate it. But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't own a website! Usually one would be told, "Don't go into that business if you hate it so much", but with building websites you can hate to write and still build a very successful business. Yes, the surest path to failure is to work in a career one hates. Can you imagine a pastor who hates people? Or, a chef who hates to cook?
Thankfully, that is not the case with websites. You can hate to write (and websites require lots of writing) and still be a huge success story if you discover how to use ghostwriters. So, if you simply hate to write don't fret! Chalk it up as one of your reasons to outsource your content to a ghostwriter. Not that you really need a reason. Outsourcing is just good business sense allowing you to double and triple your income without doubling or tripling your work. Now, that is a really good deal!
