How You Can Play Roulette in Your Home

By: Matthew Sagehouse

Do you know what one of the most popular and easy to play casino games is? If you guessed roulette, you're right. Because it is so easy to play, almost anyone can feel comfortable doing so. Many people have strategies they claim to work in beating the game of roulette, but there are not any known strategies that have truly been proven to work. This game is best enjoyed, when it is treated truly as the game of chance that it is.
This fast-paced and exciting casino game can also be enjoyed in your home. There are many choices for the serious roulette player. There are also choices for the budget conscious or occasional player, or maybe, for the gift giver.
You can find very nice wooden roulette wheels that cost as much as $4200. These are like the ones you would find in a real casino. You can also find nice roulette tables between $900 to just over $2100. These tables have the roulette layout on them for betting and have the roulette wheel mounted in one end.
For the serious player with a smaller budget, there are still great options for a home roulette setup. You can purchase a really nice 18" professional roulette set for around $200. You can even chose from far less expensive options in the $20 to $30 price range for a set. If you want, you can purchase a roulette felt layout separately, for around $15. Any of these options will give you the feel of playing roulette in a casino.
There are some other things you might need for your roulette game. Your players will need some chips to use for placing the bets. Regular poker chips of any kind will work fine for this and you can get by with as few as two different colors if needed. Simple roulette chips are also available. You will probably also need to purchase a couple of roulette win markers. The dealer at the roulette table will use these markers to place on top of the chip stacks which are on winning positions for the current spin of the wheel. This allows the dealer to remove the losing bets and then concentrate on how much to pay the winners based on the amount bet and the odds for their play.
Learning how to deal or manage the game is not terribly difficult, since the standard roulette layout has most of the odds for each type of play listed on the layout as part of the graphic. With a simple book or list of all the possible types of bets and their odds and some practice, you can be managing your roulette game in a short while.
Sometimes, it can be hard to choose where to start. If you're not really sure how you will like having the game in your home then you should not invest a large amount of money on a really nice setup. A better option would be to start with a very inexpensive set, and then, after you have had sufficient time to try it out, consider investing in the nicer equipment. When it comes to roulette, there are options for almost any budget, to bring this casino game into your home.

Let's review some choices. A black/clear high stakes roulette marker will definitely make a great addition, but a classic red/clear roulette marker could do just as well.
